Persona 3, Odin Sphere, these are two recent purely Japanese games to grace the PS2 that have enticed me into the possibility of purchasing them. Artwork, personality, a sense of difference and uniqueness. They will not sell well in the American market, but they will sell out and be worth double their asking price on eBay in six month’s time. But even if I take the plunge and barrel into these, will I ever complete them or replay them? (more…)

So I’ve had my DS for about a month now. Probably logged something like 30 hours onto it, between Pokemon Diamond and Puzzle Quest. I am impressed. And I really want a piece of software that I can use to learn Languages on it, particularly Japanese. The Japanese have their English training, cookbooks, and a lot more. Which makes me wonder if we in America will ever be able to get over our perception that games are for kids, and that video games are for geeky kids. Sure the numbers say this and that about the average gamer, but even those gamers still have the have the perception that games, and gaming devices should be limited. (more…)
